Certify Employment Status to Determine Loan Repayment Program Eligibility for Employees at Your Facility
03/17/2025
Unless otherwise indicated, links in the below message are to corresponding pages at the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) website (isac.org).
This message is to assist staff at community mental health facilities that employ individuals who have applied for the Community Behavioral Health Care Professional Loan Repayment Program for Award Year 2025 (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025).
Action Required: Submit Employment Status Certifications Throughout the Year
Functionality within the ISAC Gift Assistance Programs (GAP) Access portal is open for the certification of applicants' employment status at community mental health facilities, which must be verified as part of eligibility for the Award Year 2025 Community Behavioral Health Care Professional Loan Repayment Program.
Until employment status has been certified, ISAC is not able to determine an applicant's eligibility for this program. Please regularly check GAP Access, and complete and submit new certifications as soon as possible throughout the year, so that applicants who work at your facility will receive the appropriate notifications and – if applicable – have funds disbursed on their behalf.
Before certification can be completed, a Primary Administrator must register in GAP Access as the authorized official who will serve as the facility's point person with ISAC.
